Thirty years... [Feb. 28th, 2016|10:55 pm]
[Current Mood |melancholymelancholy]
[Current Music |Kristallbarn - Spegeltid ]

It's been thirty years - to the day - since someone murdered Olof Palme, our prime minister.
Someone murdered our prime minster and got away with it. Even if the murderer really was Christer Pettersson (I doubt it), he got away with it since he was acquitted.
I want justice for Olof Palme and his family. I want someone to do time for the murder of our prime minister, and not the truly pathetic amount of time Pettersson did. But I don't think that'll happen. I don't think Olof Palme will ever truly get justice; too much time has passed and the investigation were too badly handled at the beginning.

So I'll just say this: Rest in peace, Olof Palme. And I'm still kind of glad that you didn't have to see what happened to this world.
It didn't get any better.

Rest In Peace, Henning Mankell [Oct. 5th, 2015|03:58 pm]
[Current Mood |sadsad]
[Current Music |Greyson Chance - Waiting Outside The Lines]

It's been over two years since I last posted to this journal, and I don't know how many - if any - will read this, but I had to write it.
Henning Mankell, one of my all time favorite authors, has died. The first adult novel I've ever read was a Henning Mankell book; I had to wait until I turned twelve, because my parents didn't want me to read anything by him before then.
So, when I turned twelve, I got Faceless Killers as a birthday gift, and I think I read it in a day. And then I read every other book by him we had, and the books that came out after that.

Henning Mankell is one of the reasons I love crime novels as much as I do. And now he's dead; he had cancer, and he died during the night.
I never got to meet him, never got to tell him what he meant to me. I never got to thank him, and now I never will.
There's also the fact that he had so many more books he wanted to write, and he never got the chance.
He wasn't 'just' a writer, he was a humanitarian too. The world has lost not just a fantastic author, but a genuinely good human being.

Rest in peace, Henning Mankell. I do hope I'm wrong and there's a life after this one, and that you found peace there.

Fuck yes, Evgeni Malkin! [Sep. 18th, 2013|12:47 am]
[Current Mood |cheerfulcheerful]
[Current Music |Ana Johnson - We Are]

This is like a week after the article came out, but I was going through Evgeni Malkin's tag on tumblr, and I came across this section:

Penguins center Evgeni Malkin did not echo the sentiments of countryman Ilya Kovalchuk, who recently defended Russia's controversial policies about gay rights propaganda.
Malkin said that he isn't comfortable speaking on the topic in English because it isn't his primary language, but he did offer an opinion when asked if he would have a problem playing with a gay teammate.
“No,” he said. “No problem.”

from this article http://triblive.com/sports/penguins/4694518-74/fleury-penguins-team#ixzz2fC00Voac.

I love him so fucking much and if I ever meet this man, there's a really big risk I'll propose to him.

Heartbroken, yet again [Jul. 14th, 2013|11:49 pm]
[Current Mood |sadsad]
[Current Music |Fort Minor - Kenji]

I'm too sad to rant, so I'll keep it short and sweet:

1) No justice for Trayvon Martin. It's apparently okay to shoot a 17-year-old,unarmed boy because you think he's up to no good. Stand your ground, indeed, Florida.

2) Cory Monteith is dead. He was just 31 years old and he died alone in a hotel room. I'm so sad; I was no fan of Finn, but I loved Cory. And to die like that, all alone... My heart breaks for him.

I just feel so bad for Trayvon Martin and his family; they'll never get any justice and a seventeen year old boy died alone in the rain because some piece of shit thought he looked suspicious.

And I feel so bad for Cory Monteith, for his friends and family and Lea. Just... It's been a terrible, terrible day.

My poor, poor Real Madrid... [May. 1st, 2013|10:43 pm]
[Current Mood |confusedconfused]
[Current Music |Shayne Ward - Damaged]

My heart breaks for my boys, once again so close yet so far away. But I take comfort in this: 4-3 is a hell of a lot better than 7-0, and at least we went down fighting with everything we had.

Also, Barcelona, what the hell happened? Talk about being annihilated! Way to go, Bayern Munich! I'm relatively certain that's the winners this year. If Barcelona didn't stand a chance, who will? But I'm still somewhat rooting for Dortmund; it will feel better if Real Madrid got aliminated by the Champions. Also, Dortmund has Mats Hummels <3

Have I told you I love you lately, Cristiano Ronaldo? [Apr. 9th, 2013|11:20 pm]
[Current Mood |aggravatedaggravated]
[Current Music |RENT - Take Me Or Leave Me]

Quarter-finals in Champions League, Real Madrid vs Galatasaray. Real Madrid was in an excellent because they had a 3-0 win with them from last week. And then this happened:

Seven minutes in; Cristiano Ronaldo scores 1-0. (Me: Yaaaay! Smooth sailing from here on, we got this, etc!)
Fifty-seven minutes in; Emmanuel Eboue scores 1-1 (Me: What? But... No! Okay, let's not panic. It's fine, we're fine!)
Seventy-one minutes in; Wesley Sneijder scores 1-2 (Me: Eh, guys?)
Seventy-two minutes in; Didier Drogba scores 1-3 (Me: Guys! Cris, do something!)
Ninety minutes in; Red card to Alvaro Arbeloa, from Real Madrid (Me: *hyperventilates and begs Cristiano Ronaldo for a miracle*)
Ninety-two minutes in; Cristiano Ronaldo scores 2-3 (Me: You are an actual God.)

Seriously, sometimes I think Cristiano's inner monologue is something like this: Yes, I scored! That should shut my critics up for twenty seconds and help the team. Okay, let's do this guys! Guys? Guys! Some help, here? Hello? Oh, for fuck's sake... *does everything himself and saves the match again*

I mean, I'm happy we have Cristiano Ronaldo, because that means it's not over until it's over, but if we want to reach the final this year, we can't let in three goals in under twenty minutes and hope Cristiano Ronaldo saves the day in the end. Let's do this as a team, okay?

My heart sings for Cristiano Ronaldo [Jun. 22nd, 2012|02:54 am]
[Current Mood |ecstaticecstatic]
[Current Music |Glee cast - Shake It Out]

I haven't written anything in nearly a year. Things have happened that I've wanted to write about, but I've never taken the time. But tonight, I have to write something. Because we're about half-way through Euro 2012 and my boys, my wonderful boys, is in the semifinals.
Portugal is in the semifinals and we can all thank one man; Cristiano Ronaldo. He's just... I can't evene begin to describe it. He's the best he's ever been right now and it's like he's unstoppable. He carries the hopes and dreams of a whole country and fans all over the world on his shoulder, he carried the team and I'm so, so proud and happy for him.

But I have to say this; to the people who believes that the kiss he blew the cameras after his goal against the Czech Republic was for Messi? You're out of your minds. Messi was the last thing on his mind last night, believe me. That kiss was for his son, his family, his fans, his fucking country but it was not for Messi. I really don't think Cristiano Ronaldo thinks about Messi as much as his haters thinks and wishes he did.
Because you know what? Cristiano Ronaldo knows he's one of the best players in the world, that he's the best player for a lot of people and he's not that fucking insecure. So let him have his moments, let him enjoy this Championship were things are finally going his way without dragging Messi into this. And if you can't? You're really, really sad and pathetic.

Birthday wishes (and something small about my life) [Sep. 1st, 2011|11:13 pm]
[Current Mood |happyhappy]
[Current Music |Andreas Johnson - Caravan]

Happy 22nd birthday to Bill and Tom Kaulitz! =) Hopefully we'll hear some new music from them soon. Not that their old stuff isn't amazing, I'm just craving something new.

Also, I've lost 1 kilo (that's about 2 pounds) in the last three days. Yay! All that running and staying away from sweets during the week has finally started to pay off!

So close, so very close... [Aug. 23rd, 2011|11:26 pm]
[Current Mood |sadsad]
[Current Music |Shania Twain - It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing]

We played the return game against Dinamo Zagreb today. Whoever won this game would go on to the group rounds in Champions League. We lost quite badly last week, 4-1, and had to score at least three goals today to even stand a chance. Of course, no one believed they could do it. Not even I, I'm sorry to say.

They almost did it, though. We won this game with 2-0. Had we scored just one more goal we would have been in Champions League right now.
My heart hurts for my boys more than anything right now. They tried with everything they had and it hurts me to read about how they're sitting, crying in the grass. I just want to hug them all and tell them that they made this city and all of football Sweden proud.

Just.. My boys. God, how I love this team <3.

My boys! [Aug. 4th, 2011|03:47 am]
[Current Mood |happyhappy]
[Current Music |The Lion King - Be Prepared]

I'm so happy for my MFF today. We've had a hard time in Allsvenskan this season with suspended games, not to mention we're nowhere near the fight for the gold. But I don't care about that today, because we've beat out Glasgow Rangers and we're on our way to the play off in Champions League!
And if we winn the play off? The group play. The group play in Champions League! I'm so, so happy and exited for my boys. They deserve this, after the hard time they've had.

So, you go boys. You winn your play off and show Sweden - and the world - what a wonderful team you are. =D
